I began my photography  journey in the beginning of 2011 after a few years of being interested in  photography and taking images. I made the leap  and bought a Canon 1100D following a family trip to North Wales where  one of my family members brought his camera.

I spent every opportunity  watching  YouTube videos, reading books,  scrolling through forum's  soaking  up as much new information as I could. When  I wasn't working i was putting all that information into practice.

In 2016 I joined my local Photographic Society and began competing at club level. In my first year I achieved  club class digital  and also print format trophies. This moved me up to  the advanced league. Also  in my first year  I  went on to  achieve  the overall main trophy votes by the public  at the  annual exhibition.

As i became more  comfortable and confident  with my camera I noticed that I spent a lot of  time outdoors photographing  nature,  wildlife and landscapes. Rather than shooting images to please  the judges at the Photographic Society  I focused on improving my skill's and capturing images that were pleasing to me .

In between work commitments I ventured out at every opportunity  I could ,  capturing new images and meeting fellow photographers.  In 2021 i started selling prints and wall art both locally and online.
